Why Would YOU Wear That...?

I think the reason I rely heavily on photos and cloths and imagery is for my own memory's sake. It's much easier for me to remember something I have seen and associate it with a certain time, person, or place, rather than remembering descriptions, or things that I  hear. For example, I am much more able to recall an essay I read, than an essay I heard. The more beautiful and interesting the subject is, the more I remember it and more relevance it will have in my life.
That is because I am then able to associate a feeling with it, whether it is a happy time, or a dangerous moment I need to be more casutious of in the future, or the time something important happened in history. When I see something beautiful, it is like my mind is ignited, and the more beautiful things I see, the longer my brain is ignited. That is why I always seek for everyone to be beautiful, because beauty keeps my mind alive, present and interested; it's the only thing my mind craves for optimal functionality.

EDITOR'S LETTER: The Beginning

In my fashion, individual style means dressing with conviction! It means having a healthy sense of self, and it means saying, “I am different, and I am proud of it!” My style fuels my drive in life.

I, Jonathan, am on a fashionable journey though life and this blog is here basically to chronicle what I pick up along the way. I want to learn about fashion; what it was and how fashion has evolved since our existence on this planet. Since the digital age began, there seems to be an explosion of people who claim to be “fashionistas”, the pace of fashion is growing faster and making fashion more accessible, and the depth behind the concept of personal style is being lost behind commerciality. It is more important now, more than ever, for those who understand the root purposes of fashion to enlighten others on true style and how we can exude our true beauty to this world. As this blog continues, I will continue to explore the subject of true beauty and how to always have it.

I am always interested in what people are wearing because there is such psychology behind what a person puts on their back. I know the saying goes, “Don’t judge a book by its cover,” but for me, I have found that I can get the gist of what I can expect from somebody through their style. Your style says everything about who you are, and how you operate. It is the precursor towards determining how well people will take to your personality. I like to think that if you want to get ahead in life; if you want to reach your highest potential, its best to look your best; and not only is it important to look your best, but to have a reason for looking the way that you do. The key to looking great (and ultimately feeling great) is not about having “stuff”, it’s about using your “stuff” for a reason; how do you make something that essentially everyone can get themselves, and transform it into something that means “ME”. This is where conviction comes into play. As long as you have a definitive reason for why you do what you do, no one can have any say in who you are. All you have to do is back it up!
