à la mode: WORK IT

Remember from my Editor's Letter when I quoted Kelly Rowland's song "Work-It Man": "Every good women need a good man!" Or as this spread "WORK IT" implies from BULLETT magazine, a good women. The females in this spread exude a certain masculinity in the clothes they are outfitted with in this spread, not to mention their provocateur. This spread provides examples of interesting work looks for both sexes working in the corporate arena. I especially love the first looks in the spread with the large scale mesmerizing prints that give their looks a very liquid feel for such structured suits. For men, I am especially in love with the Prada coat with fur lapels shown on the second page, and the sixth page has my favorite looks for men in this spread: simple and profession yet bold, young, and fun. In my fashion, textures are a man's best friend in fashion. Wearing an assortment of textures is one of the best ways to play with clothes. Mixing textures and patterns is a great way of showing how clever and open-minded you can be, and is a great way sartorially to attract your crush's eye. Who says you can't play while you work?
